The Big Convention Thread

Postby Lily-hime » Mon May 19, 2014 10:37 pm

Use this thread to discuss convention plans, plan meetups, or post cosplay pics (yes pls.) Also feel free to create your very own Wonderland Translations con badge! The fully-editable TIFF template can be found at http://mototaku.net/misc/wonderland/con ... _badge.tif

Osakaki, myself, and some other guy who posted like once will be 'repping the group at A-Kon (http://www.a-kon.com) in Dallas in a couple of weeks. If any of y'all happen to be in the neighborhood feel free to stop by and say hi.

So what's the signature part supposed to be for?

Don't they get laminated before we could sign them in person?

I was just going to use my mouse to create a horrible cursive scrawl.

Excellent, guys. Heading to the printers with these on Wednesday.

For those of you playing at home, by all means feel free to make and print your own. If you're not bashful, post a pic of you wearing the badge and if we get enough submissions we'll start a gallery. :D

Heads-up: I am probably definitely going back to Otakon this year. I didn't get on board in time to get in at the Hilton, but I am at the Sheraton which is still skywalk-connected to the BCC. Usual schedule: available for pickups on Thursday, leave out on Monday morning. Y'all are obviously welcome to join me, but given Mr. osakaki's newfound home ownership I understand if you can't make it. If A-Kon is cheaper there's that too.

I could possibly end up at Otakon or A-Kon but not sure/haven't decided yet. Vacation time shouldn't be a problem, money slightly more possibly a problem.

I'll mull it over and get back to you.
